Untimely deaths caused by medical professionals in Ghana

Cause for concerns

This News briefing is not written to denigrate the medical professionals in Ghana. It is not based upon a figment of my imagination. It is not an anonymous Case study grounded upon some spurious Desk Research of dubious authenticity. The facts contained herein cannot be controverted in any way whatsoever.
Yet, when the facts were presented to the Senior Management team of 8 professionals, measures were put in place to harm me, the aggrieved, as if one was being frivolous or vexatious or both.

Greater Accra Regional Hospital

The subject of this News briefing is Greater Accra Regional Hospital, aka Ridge Hospital. It is a Public Hospital, which means that it is a Government institution and it exists for Public Benefit.

I am not! a stranger to Ridge Hospital. In 2023, I received treatment there for UTI in its Urology Department. However, professionalism and experience have taken a dive to below 35%. Most of the new recruits lack what it takes to be a Doctor.
But one can as well examine the prevailing circumstances, with specific reference to untimely deaths from the spiritual realm. Many African countries are not at peace with modern Ghana. They are fully aware of the shame, humiliation and degredation, in the form of human trafficking brought upon the Continent by the Elders of the old Gold Coast. But then, those Elders were into slavery and slave trade Decades before 1482, the year they invited the Portuguese to the West Coast, for the commencement of trade in human misery.

Wrong prognoses and misdiagnoses

Notwithstandingm that Ridge Hospital is a flagship medical centre in Ghana today, you will not find a politician turned government minister, a civil servant turned ambassador, a member of Ghana Parliament turned Board member of an international! consortium, a CEO of a Corporation, in any of its clinics, for the purpose of receiving medical treatment. Instead, persons of class and position in Ghana today would rather travel to the Western world for medical treatment.

Scenario situations that cause concerns

Technology, human frailty and, paucity of learning, are at the root of untimely deaths in Ghana's flagship medical intitution. At a huge expense borne by me, I underwent Laboratory tests, as in PSA, X-ray, abdominal scan, ECG, and FBC, on 3/4/5 different occasions. The results often left me gasping for breath, inasmuch as they indicated damaged kidney, liver, kidney transplant. In other cases, x-rays didn't disclose the cause of the excruciating pain in my left side or my right side.
When I complained to the Senior Management, all hell broke lose. I was threatened with dire consequences. MTN was ordered to disconnect my line so that I could no longer make phone calls. If I tried calling anyone, MTN system would play a prerecorded message "This service is unavailable to you." A female from the Administration threatened me with death

Law firms declined my request for help

I approached three Law Firms in Accra but, one by one they declined my request upon the ground that, Ridge Hospital is a flagship Ghana government medical centre, and so therefore, no Lawyer in Ghana will take on that Hospital. I couldn't believe my ears.
But in Ghana medical negligence or malpractice is governed by the Common Law principles of duty of care, breach and causation. The Lawyers that I approached didn't want to hear those points. However, the Courts have established a legal framework for misdiagnoses, wrong prignoses, and treatment. They apply what is known as Bolam principle. This framework was formally adopted in Gyan v. Ashamti Goldfields Corporation.

Ghana Ministry of Health 2026 Budget

The Ministry of Health was allocated huge sums of money in the 2026 Budget. For example, a staggering sum of 16.25 bn cedis is allocated for employees'compensation; 4.51 bn cedis for goods and services; 2.04 bn cedis for capital expenfiture; 11 bn cedis for NHIS. Not even 1 pesewa is allocated for medical malpractice or negligence.

Yet, the Minister of Health described the 2026 budget as "the most people-focused and health-centred budget".

IN CONCLUSION, diseases or viruses or sicknesses seldom kill people in Ghana but medical malpractice occasioned by paucity of learning does, with impunity. It is my belief that this matter should be raised in the UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, and at any gatherings of the WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION, IMF and, WORLD BANK

Child labour, a social menace

For many decades, child labour has been one of the biggest challenges to social development.
In many countries especially in the sub-saharan Africa, Asia and the Pacific are engaged in all forms of child labour which is affecting millions of children aged 5-17.

In Ghana,about 21 percent of children are engaged in it with about 14 percent engaged in hazardous work.
About 48 million child labourers across sub-saharan Africa including 15 million in Nigeria engaged in child labour(Ajakaye,2013).

In Asia, the Pacific is the region with the largest number of child labour.
One of the core drivers of child labour is deep rooted in poverty, poor rural families consider making their children work in farms to supplement the family budget. Ricky (2009), pointed out that many rural areas lack basic services, such as electricity and access to drinking water. In such situations their children must collect water especially girls, who are more involved in housework.

According to the world bank,child worker is typically a sign of urban poverty in many countries, especially in sub-saharan Africa. Children in the cities are mostly involved in hawking in the street under the mercy of the weather condition.They work for small hours with a very low wage or no wage.

Girls are usually the most vulnerable; they are typically trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation in urban centres such as Accra, Mumbai and New Delhi (Baker,2008).

Poor urban children are at particular risk of many problems such as lack of education, health care and social protection. These children are vulnerable to diseases and they struggle with long term physical and psychological pain.

Some studies like Dessy and Pallage(2003), argue that not all the work that children do is harmful, some work may be a successful learning opportunities such as baby sitting or newspaper delivery Jobs, but not if the work exposes them to psychological stress, like human trafficking, prostitution and pornographic activities.

However,many countries have adopted legislation to prohibit child labour; nonetheless child labour is a widespread throughout the world. It is not easy for low income countries to achieve banning child labour. It is undeniable fact that education is the key strategy in addressing this social menace.

Furthermore, IPEC(International Programme on Elimination of Child Labour)is also another Programme which seeks to eliminate Child labour. The Programme sponsors 175 projects in India.

Additionally, several NGOs like Child Right and You, Global March against Child labour, among others have taken up the task to get the children back to school.

In conclusion, there must be a globally accepted legislation to help curb the child labour. Please feel free to give us your Feedback.

Undertaking and prohibitions

When you join this Ministry, in effect, you are giving an Undertaking relating to your desire to walk and work  with God. Moses, the Servant of God walked and worked with God for 80 years. He started at the age of 40 years but God Himself called him to Glory at the age of 120 years. See Deuteronomy Chapter 32 verses 49 & 50 "Get thee up into mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho and behold the land of Canan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: (50) "And die in the mount whither thou goest up...."

As regards this Ministry, there are sacrifices to be made: Here they are:

Any female who has bleached her skin, will not be allowed to worship or participate in any Religious Observances inside or outside the House of House of Deputies;

Any female who wears false eye lashes, false fingernails and false toesnails, who wears see-through dresses, who is heavily made up, will not be allowed to worship in the House of Deputies;

Any female who habitually sells her body for gain, will not be allowed to worship inside or outside the House of Deputies... Because a woman's body, same as a man's body, is a Temple of God and, shall not be subjected to any form of profanity.

A male Member of the House may not describe himself as a PROPHET 0/ an APOSTLE/ as a DISCIPLE without proof of anointing by the Holy Spirit whilst such a Member was functioning in spirit in his bed whilst asleep;

A male Member of the House may not engage in casual sexual relationship with a deaconess or with any female Member;

A male Member who earns his livelihood as a gigolo will not be allowed to participate in the Religious Observances of the House of Deputies;

A male Member who has been married to another male, will not be allowed to participate in the Religious Observances of the House;

A male member who confesses that he is a Gay will not be allowed to participate in the Religious Observances of the House.

PERKS AND PRIVILEGES

There shall be created a number of "societies" within the House. The first Society to be created shall be called "WELFARE COUNCIL FOR THE ELDERLY". Many years before the birth of this Ministry, I, Reverend John Salako, in 1968,  formed a not-for-profit organisation named WELFARE COUNCIL FOR THE ELDERLY, in Walmer, Nr. Deal, Kent, Southeast England.

And there shall be created a Society to be titled CHILDREN NEED FATHERS. Once again, I, Reverend John Salako, in 1968, came up with this Organisation, whilst representing a gentleman by the name Webb, of Folkestone, Kent, whose wife disappeared to Hampshire, with his children.

And there shall be created yet other Societies to be titled PUBLIC LAW CENTRE GROUP, SECURE YOUR FUTURE, STUDENTS UNION GROUP, LAW WITHOUT FRONTIERS, BIBLICAL RESEARCH GROUP, RACE RELATIONS GROUP, and SOCIAL SECURITY GROUP. Tithes, Offerings, Gifts, grants and donations received, shall be disbursed for the benefit of the foregoing Societies

Every year, with effect from 2027, there shall be a 10-days pilgrimage to Israel; to the Place of Skull, where the Lord Jesus was crucified, to his Selpulchre, where he was buried and to Nazareth.

The Deputies shall be notified of further perks and privileges later
